Why France Why?

imgp0345Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world; that is until you live in it for any extended period of time. I remember discovering the book series Merde actually, happens ETC… This guy really did a good job into identifying the feelings of an alien in France.

I wonder why a city that basically lives from tourism have the ugliest train ever connecting the airport to the city. Not to mention the dark post apocalypse tunnels of the Station where you arrive…

In that station you can see people clearly waiting to sell something to the passing travelers… So most likely your first contact will be with a drug dealer under passive look of the police who seem to ignore that. But wait, because that is if you are lucky, else you will be glad the police is there; the pick-pocketeers is another race that crawls that train Station…

Then there is the fact that those same drug dealers in the Station seem to preffer a vehicule… the unsilenced Scooter… 100dB 100000db…. the louder the better, again to the ignoring “regard” of the police who on the other hand will stop and fine a real biker if the exhaust was upgraded to have that grave sound a bike should have (that is about 1dB above the legal limit) but the reason they preffer the unsilenced scooter is that and this one is good… you dont need a test a permit or training to ride anything below 90 CC so they can just buy it and jump on it and try to learn to ride while endangering the 8 million inhabitants of the city…

But that is not that bad when you think that the most part of those inhabitants pass their permit when their are 20 or so after 20 hours of driving lessons, to not take a a car ever and then from time to time they are expected to drive thing that they do very badly… So for a tipical Parisian person who’s got his license 10 years ago  the average driving time is about 20 hours training+20 hours actual driving… dont surprises me the deaths in the road by accident when you look at this… even thou the roads here are beautifully maintained…

Now tell a French person that you can provide a better service cheaper than the system… NO it  is “l’Arnaque” for a French cheap will be expensive on the long run, expensive is most ofthe times bad but you paid for their aggresive marketing campaing and most likel even if you bought expensive crap you will be satisfied… you will queue up during long hours probably under the rain in the SAV (After sales service) to have an uninterested technician tell you that you missed the birth certificate of the cananry of your grand mother so there is nothing he can do for your problem of the External hard disk not working or so…

I once read an article by a french marketing manager, where he explained that all the money should be put in seducing the potential client, and he himself questioned the method by wondering what happened once you had already been seduced… the answer he gave was easy… nothing! you will be ignored! and even him was warning the public about it!

Ahhh… the rain… I remember those descriptions of the modern writers about autum in Paris how the trees dress in yellow and create a carpet that…. Bullshit not anymore, now there is too seasons… the too cold one that lasts 9 months of the year, and the rainy one which lasts the other 3 months, with a transition period of three days where the temperature increases to 45 degrees C….

All this will be tolerable if the natural arrogancy of the people living in Paris was 1 notch less than it actually is… But unfortunately that is not the case, most of the people living here are not born here, either Aliens from abroad or simply Frenchies from other regions… They seem to assume that since they live in the most beautiful city, they can get away with being pedantic arses…However the real Parisian people (there is 2 of them according to the last count and they both live in the south of France) they are lovely people that have escaped the city they used to love because of the inmigrants, the trafic, the pollution, the, the, the…

That is natural selection, and also it is a natural means of the city to try and repel people so it do not becomes more overcrowded than it already is…
